funny that most people misunderstood the question.

that it was stupid to attack Obama for not wearing the pin. it was not a measure of his patriotism. the fact that a patriot like McCain wasn't wearing one proves that. a flag pin is not a measure of patriotism.

i can't retract because i would never be stupid enough to question the patriotism of anyone willing to dedicate their life to the Presidency. i do hope that those who were making a big deal about it see how Silly it is!

All you people that have so many negative things to say about Obama.....well to bad - he's ahead in the polls and he WILL be our next President! Thank God it will be him and not that "Stiff" McCain!

I'd also like to know how many of you "salute" the flag during the National Anthem. Most of us don't....many of the older people do. I am not unpatriotic because I "ignore" the flag. You people are a bunch of idiots.

I certainly won't wearing a lapel bin does not make me think Obama is patriotic, is just part of his fake face. His action speak for louder than his pin, I've seen him time and time again ignore the American flag. As for John McCain he doesn't need a pin to prove his patriotism . He went into the military and served his country, he was in a prison camp for 6 years during that service. How could anyone have any doubt about his loyalty to this country?

Sorry... but we know John S. McCain served his country more than most men and women will ever know or experience.

Obama on the other hand..... refused to salute the flag -- its not just the pin, it is that and so much more. Get a clue.

McCain's patriotic position is in question. In this interview he clearly states that he is not running for President because of some patriotic concept. Watch him tell you that in his own words.

McCain's not wearing a lapel pin was no doubt due to an unconscious error.

That Obama would not wear on nor would he salute the flag is a conscious choice and something you should think about.

McCain has proved his patriotism time and time again. Obama has constantly opened his mouth and showed us that he is as unpatriotic as they come. From snubbing troops, to painting over the flag on his plane etc.

McCain has America's freedoms and safety at heart and will protect our country and way of life.

I could care less about a flag pin, I do care about the explaination that Obama gave for not wearing one, understand.

It's a non-issue.

McCain has served in the Military. No one can question his patriotism.

The same can't be said about Obama based on his past and present associations.

There is no reason to retract the truth.
