Dodgers fans - Pierre demands to be traded? ?

Do you think it would be good for the club? I think it will as it will free up more money to bring back Furcal, Blake, Manny and Lowe.

Update:

Giants need a reliable lead-off man. They have some good young pitchers and we need some freh arms in the bullpen. .

Update 2:

Giants need a reliable lead-off man. They have some good young pitchers and we need some fresh arms in the bullpen. .

Update 3:

According to a quote from Torre a couple weeks back in the LA Times, Jones is slated to be the starting CF until he shows otherwise in 2009.

Juan Pierre's a good player and has shown his versatility playing corner OF positions so he is tradable. It's not so much his annual rate that'll be a problem dumping off on another team, but rather that he's signed through 2011.

Either one of three things will happen. One, they'll trade him elsewhere paying probably around 1/3 of the 28.5 Million he's owed. Two, they'll trade him in exchange for another bad contract such as Luis Castillo with the Mets which might work with Kent likely retiring. Castillo's owed 18 million over 3 years so it'd save the Dodgers some money.

Or three, they'll hold onto him. If they hold onto him and they try to re-sign Manny, they'd have 5 OF's. Moving his contract would free up some money to try to re-sign Furcal and Blake. It'd be kind of ironic if Manny's the one guy they don't sign after all of the busts they've signed.

The Dodgers have gotten better with making moves this season, but some of the moves they've made in the past don't make sense. I don't understand what the logic to signing Andruw Jones to a 2 year/36 million contract last season was after coming off a season when he hit .222. I wouldn't have even him half of that. I don't understand why they signed him period when they had an OF of Kemp, Eithier and Pierre at that point anyway. It made no sense. At the time the Jason Schmidt signing of 3yr/45MM looked alright, but he was a total bust. He's signed through next season at 15.5MM. They might be able to swap him too with the Mets for Castillo if not one of Jones or Pierre.

Yes it would be good for us and also for Pierre.I think he deserves more than playing a pinch-hitter all the time.He obviously really want's to play.I didn't like when Pierre would start over Ethier,I just didn't see Pierre holding up to Ethier's power-hitting,or being a better outfielder than him either.I respect Pierre ,and very much.I mean the guy asked fro a trade at an appropriate time, was classy in doing so.He expressed that he hold's no hard feeling toward the Dodger's Organization, and just want's to play.Let him play.Bottom line: This is the best possible way to part way's. I genuinely wish him the best

As far as Andruw goes,Andruw just doesn't want to be here anymore.Let's face it Dodger Fans were being hard on him.Remember all those boo's he would get?..I don't think that there should EVER be a point where you boo you're player's.That's rude and not correct. It's embarrasing, you just don't do it.It's an unfortunate situation,I mean he sucked, but who's to know,he could improve. You have to show your player's love and they'll show it back by producing for the team. That's just my theory.

Maybe Dodgers can trade him to the Marlins, Rocky's, Giants, Padres and the Nationals. Any team from the National League would take him; but not the American.

If they cannot make any trade for him; just have him there for sub for on the base running portion. Because, he is a fast runner and he can steal base pretty good.

One problem; no one would want him; because, the Dodgers would seemingly want to trade Pierre and along side Andrew Jones as well. Like if you take Pierre you have to take Andrew Jones. If that is the case nobody would want to do that right now; basing on how ineffective Jones is that would be out of the equation..

To be honest, without man-ram the dodgers are a inconsistent .500 ball club with so-so pitching and a makeshift lineup. After the trade for manny they changed their whole mentality and if the owners and GM are smart, they'll back up a dump truck of cash to manny's house and keep him. 4 year 98.5M is realistic for him.

The Andruw Jones deal was the worst i've seen for a while. I say let Pierre go and try to get some help in the bullpin and lineup behind Ramierez.

If they fail to do those things so they'll lose the NL west title next year to Arizona which is rebuilding the bullpin and has webb and haren locked until 2010.

Im not a dodger fan but pierre was a horrible signing by the dodgers, and it would be great if they got rid of him cause he is useless, with matt kemp starting in center

    Honerable Mention:Andruw Jones

Pierre is a good outfielder but a below average hitter. I definitely think it would be good for Dodgers to get rid of him.

Better for us get rid of him and release Andruw Jones and resign all the players you mentioned. Who can they get for Pierre anyways?
