I need to buy a digital TV converter box for my television set, which one is the best?

If you have bought one, please mention it and its performance so far.

Thank you.

Update:

I have requested the coupons, but I know that some converter boxes provide a stronger signal. I would like to know which ones provide the most channels as well as a higher quality image.

You will probably get many opinions on which is best, but I did check around on the Internet as to which one was rated higher by users and it came up with the Zenith DTT900, which I purchased two from Circuit City. I understand that a newer version, DTT901, is now on the market. My two have worked just fine. With an outdoor UHF antenna about 20 Ft. high, I can pull in stations from 80 miles. I'm sure there are others that will have as good of reception, if not better.

Added note: I am using a preamp with a high gain 8 Bay Bow Tie antenna from Channel Master.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The number of channels you get depends more on the location and number of broadcasters in your area and the quality of your antenna system than it does on the box.

This link will give you a comparison chart of features:

I have the APEX DT 250. The picture is great if you use the RCA or S-Video connectors to connect to the TV and if the signal is not breaking up....which is most of the time now...

Problems, Some times the top and bottom tiny bits of the picture are cut off (the picture is too big for the screen).

You can ONLY auto Tune to load channels into memory. There is no manual entry.. This means it is very difficult to load channels that are in a different direction if you want to turn your antenna to pick up more station. I don't know of a unit that does not have this problem.

Don't they give you one for free?
