Help with car-term translation?

Hi. I'm doing a translation for my boss from Italian to English.

I'm stuck on the term "appassionati di motori". I was thinking of car-lovers, but that sounds a bit strange. Appassionati di motori is basically somone who's really into cars, driving, car races, etc.

Any suggestions? Thanks
