How do 95% of us get a Obama tax cut, when 40% of us don't pay income tax. Do we get a check or what?
Perhaps they will pay our social security tax for us, or sales tax, state tax, property tax or maybe vehicle tax?
What do you think?
It's obvious from most of the answers, responders don't understand what Obama said. Check out his own words.
It looks like everyone gets a credit even if they don't pay taxes.

I've replayed what Obama said at the last debate. He says "95% of working families will get a tax cut." Thats an exact quote.

I guess that's Obama's way of telling those 40% that don't pay anything now, that He's going to hand checks over to them??
gee
I wonder who will have to pay that????
the 60% that DO pay taxes??
maybe???

It potential those 40% gets a fatter return on the taxes they don't pay in varieties alongside with EIC, payed for by using the 5%! case in point, at present a kinfolk of 5 making much less then $20K, will pay no federal taxes and gets a return of approximately $5000 with the aid of EIC. I parent while Obama includes the 40% like that throughout his 'tax decrease', he's asserting they're gonna get a greater return lower back.

Sure, they get the earned income tax credit increases with Obama's plan. Just more welfare but don't tell the jerks that will really pay for the rest of the taxes he will raise.
Like capital gaines tax increases, death taxes, repeal of Bushes tax cut and the list goes on to pay for the programs he has promised to thses less fortunate.
Unfortunate, what about us the ones that pay the bills?

95% of do not receive a tax cut with obama that's actually about 5%. You really have to listen to what Obama says when he talks because he really is very smooth but usually he's twisting words that make him appear good but actually about 95% of middle class will be taxed more by Obama

Everybody who works pays federal taxes. You're equivocating. Over one third of the total of federal taxes collected are payroll taxes which are something different than federal income tax. Payroll taxes (FICA, etc) are flat regressive taxes that people making less than 97,700 dollars a year pay more of than everybody else (they cap at 97,700).
So maybe your problem is that you aren't being honest about who pays what taxes?

Obama is talking about tax payers, he is not talking about non tax payers, I do not understand how people are voting when they do not understand the issues, it is amazing at this late date there is still so many that do not understand the issues.

You are not doing the math correctly. You have to already pay taxes to get them cut.
