Do I have exclusive rights to the recipe I created?

I created an original recipe (using parts of 2 or 3 recipes for homemade energy bars) for a muffin bar/energy bar type baked good. I also came up with an original and locally topical name for this item. I went to work for a local coffee house as their baker, and we sell this item under the name that I created (not trademarked). I did not receive any compensation (other than for my hours worked) for this creation by my employer.

I am planning to leave this employer and wonder if my recipe creation and/or the name are "mine": that is, do I have the right to ask/demand that they not sell "my" bar after my departure? Or, at least, can I claim the name as my creation, and stipulate that they must credit me with the creation of the recipe or market it under another name? I know that copyright laws are elusive when it comes to recipes.

Thanks for any help!

This would be under a contract. If you gave the coffee house the recipe so others could produce the bars, you gave away your right to claim it as yours. I have worked in many restaurants and the cooks have a certain recipe they do not share with the business except for offering it to customers on the menu. No other employees have the recipe.
