Why are our governments supporting the oppressive and barbaric mullahs who wield the power in Iran? ?

Do you think they would better serve world peace by supporting Maryam Rajavi and the PMOI?

Information can be found at www.ncr-iran.org

Update:

Ed, my reference was about the mullahs not the country!

They aren't really supporting them at all. To keep peace with a country you must just acknowledge it exists, and that its elected government be respected.

The sad truth is, Iran is run by a certifiable lunatic who is surrounded by pretentious men in suits who in turn are guided by the mullahs.

This is the reason why Iran can not and will not ever become a notable power in that region, nuclear or not - that alone will not make them take giant strides into all aspects of lifes development.

No islamic republic to my knowledge has become a notable power on earth. Turkey is a secular moderate state in europe, but even then it has trouble at times ridding itself from the dark cloak that is islam.

Ed - Iran is barbaric because of the way it treats its people.
