pregnancy and the pill, how does it affect me?

if you are taking the pill and then get pregnant, is it possible for you to be spot bleeding? It is not a normal period but bleeding all the time. I have taken a home pregnancy test which was negative. Is it possible i could be pregnant and not knowing and the pill is affected something??

Do NOT stop taking the pill until you have confirmed that you are pregnant. Unlike some people think, the pill will not hurt your baby. I would make an appointment with your doc to have a pregnancy test done. I have been on the pill for a year. This past month I skipped my period which I have never done before. I called my doc and he told me to keep taking the pill until my appointment to have a pregnancy check (which was 3 days later). I wasnt pregnant and he said that sometimes the pill and your hormones can cause odd things to happen with your period. Very normal.. just make sure you get it checked by a doctor and do NOT stop taking the pill like some may suggest on here.
