The most shocking return? Easily John Cena at this year's Royal Rumble. NOBODY saw it coming; the WWE did an amazing job of keeping it a secret.

When his music hit and he came out, the live audience just went nuts, some cheering, some booing.

This section...I've never seen anything like it, before or since. I'm really surprised that explosion of posts in such a rapid manner didn't overload the servers and take Answers down. Some thought that the WWE was "saved", more thought the Devil himself had just appeared. It got even crazier here when Cena won the Rumble.

I'd pick The Rock returning when Stone Cold Austin walked out a week before, then abused his wife and couldn't come to Raw(yes in real life) and The Rock was making the movie scorpion king and wasn't suppose to be back for another month. but Vince already told people Austin would be performing tonight.
