have bought on ebay a 125 hanglong scooter it runs like a 50cc how do i derestict it its 2008 model . thanks j?

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on trying to derestrict it! Unfortunately you basically know the answer to this as the scooter is cheap chinese plop. The clock speed should never be used an as approximation of top speed...

Keep it standard, give it a nice clean and full tank of petrol and GET RID!

If you really want another scooter, the gilera runner 125 is probably the fastest Ive seen, so save up a little extra moolah and buy one of those.

On the other hand, why not get a nice little geared 125, much more of a 'proper bike' and with better handling and roadholding?

The best looking 125 out there is definitely the yamaha which is a copy of the r6, but they are over three grand (cor!) and the value will depreciate so much its just not worth buying a new one.

A cbr125 is a lovely little bike, not quite as flashy as the yamaha, but cheap to run and relatively sporty looking.

The aprilia rs125 looks the dogs, but is pricey and parts can be a nightmare to source.

there will be 2 domesticates on it 1 on the exhaust and 1 in the carburetor, dont try and do it yourself i tried with mine now i've sold it for scrap metal. the best advice i can give ya is to take down to your local bike dealer and repairman no big time companies and they should do it on the sli for a reasonable price if its trick they'll charge around £20 - £30 but if it is easy £10 - £15 but if they wont more tell um to shuv it. your speedo problem the should be a wire going from the speedo to the front wheel, take the front trim of and check if it is a snug fit you dont want any play in it or it'll give ya false readings and just tighten it. I recommend the new yamaha R125 2008 it is a spitting image of the the R6 but just dont go like one, beautiful bike you can pick em up for bout £3,500 worth the money and you can sell it for bout the same price in two years, hope this helps mate.

i does not touch that scooter with a barge pole, it will fall apart interior the area of 6 weeks, you will get a lots nicer motorbike in case you purchase a used eastern scooter particularly; Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki. The Korean Kymco scooters are ok too. you would be wanting a pair of training in the past you're secure to holiday on the line on your individual yet i might advise a scooter between 125cc - 200cc until eventually you're under sixteen years of age.

It's not restricted - it's built that way. They are incredibly gutless.

There is no way to increase the power of small Chinese motorcycles, like you can with small Japanese or European motorcycles.

It would cost more to fix this than the scooter was itself.
