Continents in your palm - does that sound like a reference to anything?

I read the phrase "held the continents in your palm" in a book and it sounds very familiar - I think it might be a reference or allusion to a spiritual work or maybe a poem, another book... Does anyone have suggestions for what it could be or where to look for more info?

It reminds me of one of my favorite poets, William Blake, from his early work:

To see a world in a grain of sand

And heaven in a wild flower

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand

    And eternity in an hour.

    (from 'Auguries of Innocence')
