First off.... All you guys saying F1 racers coming in... theres only been 2!!! What you guys are 'thinking' about is Indy/Open wheel in general. F1 is completly different from Indy. Juan Pablo Montoya and Scott Speed.

The rest of them were in Champ Car/Indy Car (Which is completly different)

And his isnt just F1!!! he has some oval track experience from Arca, Truck series.

Ok now on-topic... I think he is awsome.. give him another year and he will be one of the best. I mean look at Clint Bowyer wasnt too good his first year, then his 2nd he poped straight up to 3rd in standings. And racing in almost every type of car possible has to help somehow right?

    -Mazda Formula

    -British Formula Championship

    -Eurocup Formula Renault

    -Northern Europe Formula Renault

    -Asian Formula Challange

(all of the above "ARE" different than Formula 1 btw)

    -Formula 1

    -GP2 Series

    -A1 Grand Prix

    -Arca Series

    -Craftman Truck Series

    -Sprint Cup series

I see what you're saying. But the changes aren't just coming from Brian France and inside NASCAR. The world has changed. Maybe NASCAR has forgotten where it came from because that place doesn't exist anymore. Can you still find a place in America where people have the same work ethic and values people had when NASCAR started? You can't expect the sport and the drivers to be different from the rest of us. It's all about money everywhere in our society, not just NASCAR. How many drivers today started out as blue-collar workers? You practically have to be wealthy to even break into the sport in the first place. I know I couldn't afford to outfit my kids with a top-of-the-line go-cart, haul them all over to races, and mortgage my house for their career, like some of the drivers' parents have done. Besides, not all the changes are bad. The sport is more diverse, so there's room for a wider range of fans. As for Toyota, they're made in the USA by Americans, so I don't have a problem with them.

Not a big fan of his attitude nor of the Toledo deal with Stenhouse Jr... But, I think if he takes his Sprint Cup ride seriously, I think he could be alright. I definitely dont think he will challenge for a win in the next year or two or anything, but I think he will be around a 30th place car in the standings next year, and improve upon that as he gets more experience.

As a side note, I really wish they wouldnt have chose to replace Allmendinger with Speed. Allmendinger was just starting to come into his own ever since he got his ride back from Skinner. I think Red Bull could have allocated enough money to put Speed in a 3rd car for a limited schedule next year, and get him the experience he needs by running a full Nationwide schedule. I mean, after all, it isnt like they are having to hunt for a sponsor for that 3rd car. The sponsors own the team!

From what I've seen, I think he's a cool guy and a unique driver. I think he can easily be one of NASCAR's most controversial drivers. There have been so many times that I haven't even recognized him because he seems to always change his look (LOL). I was pretty disappointed finding out about the deal with Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. at Toledo. But that's just part of racing. Hopefully, he will be a good driver and get respect from the Sprint Cup drivers.

Like alot of the others, I haven't seen him race enough, yet. So, I really can't form an opinion of him. Maybe next season :D

Maggie, the 20 character's thing means a question has to have 20 characters before you can add more details. Its rather irritating lol.

I don't know enough about him to really have an opinion yet,but he seems to have done well in the ARCA Series and he impressed me by not being involved in any incidents and actually finishing with the fenders intact at Martinsville last week.We will have to see what he does Sunday.

Well he's not too bad looking LOL. But as far as driving, I don't know yet. He's done very well in the Trucks so far and don't think Martinsville was too disastrous for him being it was his first start. I really dunno though, I think I will have to watch him a little bit more before I get a solid opinion on him. But so far I think he's ok.

i really havn't scene him race enough to develop an opinion.

it seems like these F1 drivers come over to Nascar can't really compete for a year.

Speed was never really had the equipment or the team to compete in F1 his name wasnt Rikkonen or Masse.. Schumakker..

I'm going to hold back any kind of judgment for now. He really hasn't shown me anything good or bad, so it's too early for me to form an opinion just yet. I'm always watching, though.
