What to do about possible voter intimidation on election day?
I'm a little afraid about going to vote, though nothing will deter me from going and trying, but what can any of us do if something does happen at the booth?
I'm amazed at how lightly some answerers are taking this question. My first voting experience was marred by this guy that kept insisting I wasn't in the book and I wasn't registered, thank god this big dude stood up for me. Others stood around looking quite amused.

If anyone tries to prevent you from voting call 1-866-our-vote
And I know that the Obama campaign is getting thousands of lawyers to be available to protect people's voting rights all over the country.

Why would you be afraid? You just go and vote. If you don't want to go in person call the board of elections and request an absentee ballot. If something happens at the booth, you should call your local board of elections. At all election places, there will be representatives of both parties, so there should be no intimidation. I also have had trouble with the person with the book trying to find my name... when they were flipping the pages I had to stop and point "there". Some people aren't bright and they need help in doing there job. It isn't intimidation, it is lack of knowledge you are facing.

Call Captain Kirk to beam you up. He's about as likely to answer you as "voter intimidation in the booth" is likely to happen.
