very likely, it's not a gush like you see on TV....it could be just a little trickle...

Well me being a first time mommy ... I was home alone when I had this clear fluid leaking out... I put a pad on then had to change it like 5 times in 30 minutes... finally i called my mom she said it could be my water breaking. she took me to the hospital and sure enough it was my water trying to break and the doctor had to finish breaking it for me... like i said it was my first time and my baby was 11 days early... i wasnt really expecting it and plus i thought it would be like a big gush of water... so i guess it is possible

It happens all the time. Mine while I was in bed with my first baby and with my fourth I started leaking while at lunch. If you are not sure place a peri-pad in your undies. Sometimes it is a full gush while other times it almost like you are peeing but you can't stop it. Mine would come out when I sat down but stopped when I stood up. It should be clear or slightly yellow with a sweet smell. If you think you are leaking or it broke contact your doctor or your delivering hospital for instructions. Good luck.

Most likely a women would notice when her water breaks even if it slowly trickles you should still have a idea because there is around a liter of fluid when your water breaks. Plus it is very warm

Just to add to what Kell-o said which is true but unless shes leaking slowly or has a tear in the bag and it is mistaken for discharge

With the amount of fluid that came out of me when they broke my water - I would guess it would be pretty near impossible to NOT know it is happening.

it would be pretty much impossible even though some women leak a little at a time it's way different then peeing your pants.
