physical exam - penis question?

Sorry to tell you sport but getting "that" checked is part of a routine physical for men and it'll happen frequently throughout your life. The good news is that it's only because you're 15 and your hormones are still raging that's causing things to stiffen at an otherwise inopportune time, Don't worry about it. It happens...more often than you might think. Your Dr. is a professional and certainly understands the situation and your resultant embarrassment. As you age you'll find you have a little more control.

During a full physical examination the doctor will require you to drop or remove your pants and underwear so that he can check that your genital development is proceeding normally. Unless there are reasons to think that you may be having problems, he will not require you to get an erection. However, it is not unusual for a teen to involuntarily erect during this part of the physical. Don't worry though as the doctor will have seen many an erect penis and it will also give him a better idea of your stage of development without having to ask!

Nope, doc does not care unless he is looking at erect size. Normal flaccid size varies a lot; most guys will shrink up a bit when being examined or in the locker room or showers.

erections happen when 15 y/o guys get touched down there,,, the doctor has seen many,,, don't worry about it... ;-)

i have never had a doctor ask about my erections either... i have offered info a couple times, but never once been asked...

Dude dont think about it if you go in thinking i am gona get a woodie you will. if your going in for a physical then yes the doctor is going to check your body and make you drop your shorts and check your nuts to make sure they are forming okay and your unit to make sure your doing the maintenace of keepin it clean then check for hernias by making you cough as he presses up above your nuts. its all apart of being a dude. chicks have to lay on a table legs in the sturrups as the doctors check their Hoo Haa take specimens for the lab etc. etc. then check thier breasts for lumps. it is all apart of growin up.

lol... my boyfriend had that problem when i good looking nurse examined him. when He/She comes in think of anything un-sexy. like dead kittens, not peacfully dying kittens, as terrible as it may sound, like kittens with their heads being stomped on... if thats not a mood kill, i dont know what is. Perhaps thats a little too much for you, i suggest doing Algebra problems in your head. nothing is as un-sexy as math. :P.

I never have, but that does not mean it is not normal. I am sure plenty of people do.

i think the dr. checks your ball like once a year. that,s when he checks mine. as for getting a erection, your probably thinking the wrong way about getting checked out.
