Why Are All McCain Supporters "Racists" And All Obama Supporters "Obamabots"?

Why is anyone who supports Barack Obama a mindless automaton? What's truly ironic is people endlessly say "obamabots" over, and over, and over, again, mindlessly and repetitively. Whereas on the flip side, anyone who supports John McCain, for whatever reason, is a racist bastard determined to repress the African-American population.

What's with the need to label people? There may be non-racists supporting McCain and intelligent people supporting Obama, insane as that may sound. Is that really so hard to believe? Can people show each other some respect? We're all humans, and humans don't come in boxes.

Update:

Testa, somehow, in one answer, you embodied everything that's wrong with this election. Ignorance, misinformation, prejudice.....yep, that's about everything.

Update 2:

The Thinker: The point I'm trying to make is we aren't all like that.

It's easier to label people that to actually find out what they truly believe. I contribute it to laziness.

I agree with you 100%. The media in this country has polarized the right and the left.

In the last two years or so the media on the right has been complaining that the "mainstream" media is left leaning. I personally think that the media on the right just likes to complain. Rush and Hannity get paid lots of money to complain about the left destroying America. They will tell you that if a negative story wasn't on network news it's because the network is in the pocket of whoever the story is about. That is the same thing as if you are not with us you are against us. So the right, for the past few years, has been polarizing their loyal base.

Now there is a real chance that a candidate from the left could win the white house and the people on the right have been pumped so full of disgust for the left and the mainstream media that they will not believe anything positive about the candidate and they won't believe anything comming from sources that are not rightwing.

Just look at how the right treated the Dixie Chicks for having an opinion that the people on the right didnt agree with.

I believe that Obama got more press early on than McCain Because Obama was something new and exciting, and McCain was not. Just like Sarah Palin is getting attention now because she is new and exciting. It is not NBC's fault that Palin was not ready for an interview. I have not heard any one on the left saying that they only like Obama because he is black. I have only heard whites talking about other whites voting out of some wierd sense of guilt or fear. It is olny people on the right who look at me and say oh your black you must be voting for Obama.

I know right! But i think that saying these things is just furthering the use of stereotypes, i agree with you though. Stereotypes don't generally represent the whole population, some people just support McCain's ideas, i actually know a black man who supports McCain (no, seriously, it's true!) and i know a white woman who supports Obama who isn't completely crazy about him. These terms only diminish the American electoral process.

No, you just say what you want to hear.

You don't know the difference between an informed McCain supporter from an Ignorant McCain supporter

I respect the Intelligent Conservatives... i don't tolerate those who think communism, socialism, terrorism, and extreme radicals are all the same

    Nicely put...BUT...

The Obama supporters have been calling EVERYBODY & ANYBODY racist,... who dont support Obama!

This was plainly visible during the Democratic primaries against their own party members...and of all people....the Clintons!

They are just continuing with the DIVISIVE HATE TACTICS that have worked for them so far!

You yourself may even be attacked for not falling into line!

Stop trying to equate patriotic Americans with radicals that have sat in churches that "God Damn America".....it's apples and oranges!

A line has been drawn in the sand....where do you stand?

Your AMBIVALENCE is not impressive!...it's dangerous and corrosive!

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!

    RESPONSE TO YOUR EDIT:

You posted in your question "...There may be non-racists supporting McCain"....."MAY BE"

The way you framed that statement is to allude that "PROBABLY" all McCain supporters are racist!

With all due respect...you may want to be a little more thoughtful and mindful of how you pose your questions in such an "impassioned" and "critically important" subject as this particular election.....this is a war for our very souls!

God bless you...thank you for your interaction...you're a great Y/A contributor.... RESPECT to you!

Yes, there is far too much name-calling. I'm sure that plenty of McCain supporters don't harbor racist sentiments, "insane as that may sound."

Fantastic post! And you're right, it's because people would prefer to argue with labels than with actual people.

Source(s): Obama supporter who understands most McCain supporters aren't racist.

You have it wrong. Obama is a racist. Obama supporters are just too stupid to see that he's a lying, socialist, terrorist...and racist. I think they have been brainwashed by all of the liberal news media. That's why they are Obamabots. And, maybe the blacks see that Obama's racist, and they like that about him. Who knows. Labels or not, Obama would be bad for our country.
