It is believed that Obama created a perfect storm in terms of his fundraising but I've also heard some Washington Insiders say that the Republicans could never mount this kind of campaign fundraising at the small donation level that the Democrats have been able to create since they mostly rely on large donations. Making any changes ties the hands of the Democrats more than Republicans, doesn't it?

There needs to be more third party participation in the process. Unfortunately, for all thier good ideas, they never get heard because they aren't eligible for the financing to run a successful campaign.
