Wireless touch button not responding ... I can't enable the WiFi nor the Bluetooth, can anyone help ?

Hello everyone, I have an HP laptop, model : 6710b ...

Out of the sudden, the wireless touch button stopped responding .. even though the two other buttons next to it are still working, which are "The presentation" button and "The Information" button ... but when I press on the Wireless button; nothing happens ... even the light won't go on ... it used to become blue before, and then the Wireless would be enabled .. but now, I'm not capable of enabling the WiFi nor the Bluetooth .. I can see that the wireless card is OK .. so I don't think it's a card issue .. do you know any way to fix this issue ?

    I was searching online for this very issue, also an HP 6710b not enabling wireless. You say this was all of a sudden, where-as I have only noticed this after a fresh installation of Windows XP.

    I found another post on Experts-Exchange that mentioned the problem meant sending the laptop back to HP for repair, so it may be physical (or, worse, a design-flaw on these models).

    I have a number of these available to me at the hospital with which I will swap the HD out of this one and try it in another known-good laptop just to rule out a software issue.
