How do I adjust the steering wheel on a 2002 Hyundai Elantra Sedan style car?
I'm about to purchase it and I don't want to look like a total fool by asking the person I am buying it off of. :)
Just moving it up and down. I've never owned a Hyundai before and I didn't want to play around like a child...
even though I am supper giddy over it...

There is a black or gray lever on the left side of the steering column that pulls down to adjust the steering wheel up or down.
Push down on the lever and it unlocks the steering wheel to move up and down freely about 4 inches. When you get it to a level you like, push the lever back up and it will lock the wheel in place.

Ask the person selling the car.. You have to get correct information. Probably a lever on steering column

What needs adjusting? Tilt?
Ask "if it has a tilt wheel", no one will think you are a fool when getting a car that is unfamiliar to you, and they will be glad to Show you the cars "cool features" (like tilt)

mine had a thing under the steering wheel that made it go up and down
