Why does Hollywood back Obama? He says he's going to "spread the wealth around".How would this help Hollywood?

Sean Penn is just like his father was a bleeding heart liberal,and a trouble maker in Hollywood.

Obama will say anything to get elected,spread the wealth are nice words.

But,see how much wealth you get if Obama is in office.Write back say in January 2010 and tell about the wealth you have from Obama being president.

That's easy. They don't make "income" as defined by the tax code. When Obama says he's raising taxes on the top 5% of earners, he's telling a little white lie. The wealthiest people don't earn "income" as a bi weekly or monthly paycheck. They're paid in value or stock or percentages of earnings. Remember, that's why Buffet pays 15% but his secretary pays 33%. These compassionate Hollywood types (read elitists) won't be affected. Neither will most of the truly wealthy people in this country. Its class warfare sans casualties. It pumps up the middle class but that's about it.

Because communists are elitists, they mean for your money (same as democrats) to be spread around.

In the marxist society envisioned by the elite left in Hollywood, they figure Communists party members are above everyone else, they will get the better positions and jobs, the rest of the wealth (actually poverty) is shared by the masses.

Not everyone in Hollywood is Liberal. there are many hard core conservatives there. However, I would say the majority are liberal and that's because they deal in a form of the arts. They deal in stories , true and fictictious about other's lives. When you do that you have to stretch your thining. YOu hjave to understand what it's like to see the world through other's eyes. This gives you perspective that some call a form of wisdom whereas those who are afraid to understand other's generally have a very narrow focus which can border on ignorance.

It doesn't help Hollywood at all. The individuals in Hollywood who back Obama are doing so because they believe in him and his plans.

As for 'spreading the wealth' we've always had taxes. Paying an 3% on net income over $250,000 is not a large increase.

The Hollywood elite back Obama - they back the candidate most likely to fulfill the moral and literal downfall of America as presaged in film.

I don't care what people in Hollywood think. Most of them seem to have pretty messed up lives, so why would I try and imitate their opinions?

One, what they say and what they may do may actually be two different things.

Two, the rich are always going to be rich, especially if you have friends in high places.

Three, it's the trendy thing to do. People miss or feel like they missed out on the JFK era and they want to try and remake a piece of it now.

hollywood has no vested financial interest in Obama. it's a liberal , ideological thing, something you wouldn't understand..

hollywood has the economy of all of canada.. i think they can live with more taxes under obama.
