how do i show my support and what is a good song?
I have two questions but first a little background information:
my best friends mother recently had a stroke and they are probably taking her off life support today and just letting her pass away.
i have gone home to be with her and whatnot..but ive run out of things to say.
what can i say to her today that wouldnt sound completely overdone?
what are some good songs to comfort her family and maybe to remember her by?

Well, in situations like this, conversation can be awkward.
When my mom passed away, I had a good friend that would spend time with me. My mother and I were close. She (my friend) would show concern and say things that were comforting. But the one thing that was best, was the simple fact she was there. Some times, she would bring me some " comfort food ", but just spend time with me, and let me vent.
It's good that you are concerned about your friend, in wanting to know what to say, or how to be supportive. The most important part of all that, is just being there.
best wishes.

Just be there with your friend. It may not be the right time for music. Your being there says it all. Just listen, and see what you can do to help. How about you make a nice soup, and be available to just listen to your friend?

Maybe try making her family's dinners for a couple nights. So your support through little things.

Just keep her company. There isn't much you can say.
I prefer the song If I Could by Jack Johnson.

Sometimes, just being there means more than having hundreds of words to say.
