hey all. quick question. my boyfriend and i are looking to move to harrisburg because he will be going to law school at widener. any streets/areas to stay away from when looking for places to live? also any recommendations on good places to live?

my boyfriend got into duquesne law school and we are looking at different apartments for us to move in to if he decides that he wants to go there....

are there any particular apartment complexes...particular streets...particular surrounding nearby towns....to absolutely stay away from..due to a safety problem?

and also if there are any particular areas you all would recommend looking at to live....it would be a huge help

my best friend just lost her mother to a brain stem stroke. i have been there..i have listened..offered my help in whatever she has needed. what do i say or do now? i feel like i need to do more. god i just feel so awful.

I have two questions but first a little background information:

my best friends mother recently had a stroke and they are probably taking her off life support today and just letting her pass away.

i have gone home to be with her and whatnot..but ive run out of things to say.

what can i say to her today that wouldnt sound completely overdone?

what are some good songs to comfort her family and maybe to remember her by?

i live on my college campus with 2 girls who are supposed to be my best friends. the thing is theyve kinda havent been the nicest too me since the beginning of the year and im not really sure why. i may have an opportunity to move out of the apartment and into a better living situation..and if i get the opportunity im going to take it...how would i go about telling them without breaking ties completely?

my friends mother just had a stroke on friday and it was in her brain stem. she is alert now but she can not move anything or speak. obviously the hospital is working with her to help her but what can her family do? they have been trying to give her images of her walking to maybe try and strike some nerve, would moving her fingers for her help?

are there any little extras her family can do to help her along?

I am graduating in may from college and I need to know what social service programs there are within a 30 mi. radius of harrisburg, pa. i am hoping to get a job at 1 of them but i need to know what my options are.

my parents are married and so i know how to word them...but for my fiance's parents..his mother kept her ex husbands last name to make it easier on the kids as they grew up...how would you say like the daughter of mr. and mrs. bruce becker and then the son of mr. robert whalen and ms. audrey whalen?

today is my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend. we had be talking about it for awhile and over the weekend we had sorta celebrated it, but i was under the impression we were still going to do some special little stuff today. now, he asked me out at like 1am and even on little "meaningless" if you will, anniversaries we'd stay up and just talk and whatnot until 1 am and so we did that today and i gave him my card. he then told me that i wasnt getting a card or the usual flowers that he gets me. now thats fine, but then he said we didnt have anything special planned for today. like i cleared my schedule to be with him and its like he doesnt care. i mean im sure he cares but it kinda just hurt my feelings that im making this big deal out of everything and he isnt.

for a winter or fall wedding, i dont like the normal colors like dark purple and whatnot, so can i use spring colors or is that a big no no?

what are good dress styles and colors for a fall or winter wedding?

i love the idea of a more unique-ish type wedding cake. however i want it to be colorful but somewhat simple in the details. i love the idea of somehow incorporating tiny little flowers as well...any ideas?
