    You're right.

    Jenny Ann Becker,

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Becker,

    &

    John Paul Whalen,

Son of Ms. Audrey Whalen and Mr. Robert Whalen,

request the honour of your presence..........

They should be listed separately, so as not to imply a relationship, and the woman usually goes first in that case, not the man.

    It would be

the son of Robert and Audrey Whalen

or you could use the second idea Mr Robert Whalen and Ms. Audrey Whalen.

The first one sounds better, and you arent using Mr and Mrs

I just went to a wedding like this and their invite read (with your names incorporated):

    Mr & Mrs Bruce Becker

    And

    Ms. Audrey Whalen

    And

    Mr. Robert Whalen

And then add in the names if they are re-married to someone else.

It looked very nice on the invite I received, and everyone was happy.

    Good Luck! And Congrats!

If neither has remarried, then the way you have it is correct. However, for example, if Robert Whalen has remarried, it should read

    Mr. and Mrs. Robert Whalen

    and Ms. Aubrey Whalen

You would say the son of Robert and Audrey Whalen

You are correct. You do not say Mr. and Mrs Whalen... because that implies a relationship.

Also...together with their parents...is always appropriate

Looks like you've got it right to me. My mom is divorced and my "sperm donor" father is having nothing to do with the wedding. For my invites I've got a little quote, and then Ms. Jane Powell requests.....

  • You've answered it for yourself...

Mr & Mrs. implies that the couple is still a couple.

Mr (first & last name) and Ms. (first & last name) implies they are no longer a couple......good luck

Yes you got it nailed down , it would be Ms. because Mrs. would be if she was still married , which she isnt , and Miss. would be if she had never been married ... or maybe i got that wrong ....

Ms sounds alright to me though.
