If you are not from America, what do you think about American elections? Do you really care? And who would you vote for, and why?

Look back at the last 8 years in the United States.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

I am not from USA.
yes I care because the outcome WILL affect the rest of the world - financially anyway.
Bush and cheney have done some really REALLY stupid things.
Your elections are long and drawn out.
Usually they are boring - except this one.
Canada has called an election, campaigned and voted already - all inside of 2 months.
If I could vote, I would prefer to vote for Ron Paul.
But since the GOP shafted their own party member (which tells me that the GOP are bullies, liars and they will do ANYTHING to stay in office) then I will go for Obama instead.
Obama has some good ideas to help the economy.
Mccain will be just more of the same.

I'm not American but Danish. Honest don't really care about the elections there. But to answer your question who would I vote for? I would vote for Barack Obama, reason he a lot better than McCain. I think McCain is more like Bush in some ways. Obama come across as sincere. That just my opinion, Palin is a laughing sock, and a huge embarrassment to watch and to listen to. I agree with Helen on the issue of all billion spent on election campaign. They should learn from other countries that they should set a rule on how much money should be spent on election campaign etc.

I'm really care for this country, I'm South American person, and I think this country has great things and opportunities that many of us don't have in our countries. I would like that everybody that can vote in this country use the rigth that have to vote. I think that the vote is the great power that the people have to express or let know their feelings with respect to the governmets.Unfortunately for now I can not vote but I have the hope that the people that can vote going to chose the best president for this country. If I would have the opportunity to vote I really would like give my vote to Mr. Obama, because I think that he's coming with news aideas, new spirit and news solutions. I think that Mr. Obama is a very intelligent man and I thik that he going to work no just with people from his party. I think that he going to use a very intelligent people that want to create a new country living in progress, peace but with news perpectives for a better future for us and the news generations.

I have dual US/Canadian citizenship (born USA) and have lived in Canada for 42 years now. I love the USA and follow as much of their news as I can. I still have loads of relatives there and I visit there as often as I can. I would vote for Barack Obama. I can vote in the US election by applying to at the US Embassy in Canada but it is a lot of red tape so I am not doing it. I believe Barack Obama will be the next President of the USA and I believe he will be a fantastic President.

i think it is disgusting the amount of money they waste, look at all the homeless they could feed or the health care american citizens could get with that money
other countries manage to elect leaders without the blatant waste of money

Neither - not enough political experience in one case and a vp candidate with no experience at all in the other.
