If someone says to you "I'm gonna be the death of you" what do they mean?

    It usually means- that the person saying it is SORRY that they're giving you so much trouble... (a kind of embarrassed apology) for whatever they're asking of You...

    The previous response is correct, but that isn't the way it's usually said. It's usually, 'You're going to be the death of me' - meaning something you are doing reeeeeeeealy pisses someone off.

    I agree with old lady above. The saying goes, "You're going to be the death of me." You say it to somebody who is stressing you out to the max.
