How many total square feet in area is this?

I have 150 panels. Each of the panels measures 50 11/16" inches x 7 5/16" inches.

How many total square feet is this?

How many square feet would just 10 panels be in total?

Needing asap, thanks in advance.

Update:

Ron,

I'm bad with math and I don't want to get it wrong. It's the sixteenths that are making it complicated for me. If someone can provide the correct calculations, I'd really appreciate it.

Update 2:

truesprocket,

I said above I'm not good with math. So someone who isn't good with math isn't going to want to deal with pi. I'm not asking how to calculate. I'm asking for someone who can calculate correctly to do so. So please, for anyone else responding to this, don't answer unless you have the correct calculations being asked for.

Update 3:

There still seems to be discrepancy between those who have attempted to calculate the final answers with five respondents. Can anyone confirm or deny existing responses by detailing your own calculations?

I'll give it a shot, but I'm only an estimator by trade so usually close is good enough...

I would convert the faction to decimal first of all.

    50.6875 x 7.3125 = 370.65234375 square inches per panel

    370.65234375 / 144 = 2.57397460937 square feet per panel

    2.57397460937 x 150 panels = 386.096191405 square feet total

    2.57397460937 x 10 panels = 25.7397460937 square feet for 10

What are these panels for that you have to be so exact? You could easily round the numbers to make it easier if you plan to paint or something along those lines but seems like these must be for some special item...just curious.

Like I said, I'm just an estimator but thought I'd give it a shot. Good Luck...

if you use the calculator function on your computer, divide 11 by 16 and add 50 for the length, then a similar function for the width, each panel is 355 square inches divide by 144 to get square feet of 2.5739, the 10 panels are 25.73 square feet. You should be able to check the figures with the calculator on the computer and figure the 150 panel total area.

    for 150 panels, convert to simple fractions 50 11/16 = 811/16, 7 5/16 = 117/16, then multiply the simple fractions 811/16 * 117/16 = 370 167/256 sq. in. then multiply by the number of panels 370 167/256 * 150 panels = 56502 sq. in. next, convert to sq ft. 56502/144 = 392 3/8 sq. ft.

    for 10 panels, convert to simple fractions 50 11/16 = 811/16, 7 5/16 = 117/16, then multiply the simple fractions 811/16 * 117/16 = 370 167/256 sq. in. then multiply by the number of panels 370 167/256 * 10 = 3766 4/5 sq. in. next, convert to sq ft. (3766 4/5) /144 = 26 19/120 sq. ft.

Each panel has a total of 984.33 sq. in. which gives you 6.835 sq. ft. per panel @ 144 sq. ins. per sq. ft. Multiply that by 150 and you will have a total of 1,025.25 sq. ft. In just 10 panels you will have a total of 68.35 sq. ft.
