This election has shown me how truly racism is a problem in this country?

And I expect a bunch of half baked responses about Obama and his minister friend. But give the man props. He told you the truth instead of placating to your ignorance. Minorities are angry at white society and whether you think they should be or not, they are. Maybe instead of yelling how things "aren't your fault" you could listen.

But my REAL question.... I feel like there is two or three not McCaine supporters, but anti Obama contenders who have hooked themselves up with 5-10 screen names and have been flooding this section with racist and offensive comments and questions. What A waste of time. Anyone agree?

I actually see a minor amount of racism regarding Obama from the opposition. I have seen a huge amount from his supporters. I can't count the number of times I have been called a racist for asking issue based questions regarding his policies.

"But give the man props. He told you the truth instead of placating to your ignorance." In what way is stating that he attended a church for twenty years, calling the Preacher his friend and mentor and then claiming he did not know the man harbored any racist sentiment to be deemed telling me the truth? I could have respected his honesty if he would have come out and said in answer to all these questions of negative associations "yes they were my friends, but I don't necessarily share their views". He did not do this. Instead he made excuses, downplayed associations and attempted to treat me as though I could not draw proper conclusions regarding his actions and hollow denials. Then when that didn't work he likened negative reception to being gun toting religious fanatics, or simply garden variety racists.

So you feel free to vote for whomever you like, but kindly spare me the self serving claptrap. Black people may be angry in this country and if so perhaps we should do more to attempt to address it, but it will be a cold day in hell before I support a man like Barak Obama just to assuage the feelings of black people whom I have not wronged, or treated badly in the least.

Associations matter because they are a mark of a man's character. I do not understand why Obama supporters cannot understand this, but it is a fact whether they choose to acknowledge it or not.

Yes there is and always will be racism in the world. You can not legislate the world to be against racism. But as far as this election goes, the press has promoted racism from day one. Instead of every other word out of the presses mouth is about how many blacks are voting for obama and how many whites are doing this. Give it a rest already. How about reporting the news, just tell us where someone is leading and leave out the garbage about this many blacks are here and they are voting for him. All I have to say about this whole nonsense is, if by any chance obama loses, the press will have a field day reporting that the white are picking on obama and the blacks. Every white or non black person in this country will be labeled a racist and the press will promote it to the hilt. All the press has done is report everything and everyone who feels anyone other than obama should be president for what ever their issues may be is a racist. Maybe if we were more concerned with a candidate issues or stand we wouldn't be in the mess we're in right now. I would vote for a purple person if he represented us instead of lining their pockets and their friends.

No but I'm offended that 95% of blacks voting for Obama when probably 50% of whites are voting with Obama. That shows that the segregation thing is more self-imposed than forced. If whites were the intolerant ones don't you think the whole rank and file would be pro McCain. I'm not against Obama for his color or his pastor I am against him because he has repackaged the sam crap that has failed over and over and over and is selling it as a new theory of Government. BIG Government always blows it. It has nothing to do with Obama's DNA get on topic and look at the issues Government is supposed to deal with. Obama wants a massive forward progression of the size and influence of Government. That is what I am against.

Yes i agree. This election has brought to light the racists who still exist in this country. In their own circles i'm sure they still exhibit racist behaviors and such but it has all been blown up for the world to see. Parts of this country have not moved one inch from the past or moved beyond a persons skin color. Many of which are our elders, I've heard some older white woman speaking in a racist fashion and its sad. Once the baby boomers leave this earth we will have far less haters in the world.

I think there's racism on both sides of the isle. Although it's rarely talked about, there's a lot of blacks that are racist against whites. And anyone else who's racist is ignorant and yes, I agree are wasting time.

fairly you continually hear discrimination from the McCain occasion: he's a Muslim... or they simply thoroughly deny that he's even an American citizen all jointly (even with obvious data)... Ageism isn't what i could call it. Its a real project and a real possibility to have a guy in his Nineteen Seventies with a scientific background like his, interior the place of work. each and all the secret secure practices factor interior the international will not be able to guard him if his existence is endangered from interior of. Its additionally a project that his age alienates him from empathy for the well-known american (among different motives)... the infant boomers are the beef of the inhabitants and the beef of the economic device... and McCain is sufficiently old to be their father. He possesses ideals of a diverse time. you're able to think of that when being around for 26 years, you're able to learn from journey and not repeat a similar movements that have led to united states of america soreness. Racism and ageism are actually not very nearly as massive of complications in united states of america because of the fact the slide to poverty, exploitation of the unfastened marketplace alongside with well being care, international spite for our usa's politics, and the subject of secure practices for the retired and the elderly. If something: ageism exists interior the government: via discriminating against elderly and not offering them with the securities we promised them so some time past, that they worked for and supported.. and watched slip away.

There's a lot more racism than anyone suspects. I believe that most republicans would rather die than have a black man as their president .

Tell me something. Why didn't McCain pick Condolesa Rice as his running mate ? She's an intelligent black woman who would have given him the votes he craves from those two catagories. Sarah Palin is an absolute zero !

I see very few trolls...so think about that...apparently you and I don't live in the same world...most of this rhetoric on here I have heard in real life...I think it's you who needs to educate yourself on the many different kinds of people in this country...

Do you know any black people? How about conservative Christians? Well just who do you know besides those who are just like you?

I think it has showed reverse discrimination...black people voting for Obama, just because he is black. Or, if you choose not to vote for Obama, some consider you "scared of a black president".
