Thank you for asking this, there are a lot of people who have the same problem, and feel just like you do. I would like to share with you something that happened to me, and what the Lord showed me through it.
When I accepted Christ, I was the only one in my immediate family that was a Christian, and there was some special occasion or holiday and I knew I was going to be asked to pray before we ate. I wanted so much in my heart for my family to know God like I did, and to see Him, and to surrender to Him. So I thought about what all I was going to say in my prayer, hoping that I could say something that would make them see, or that they could feel what I did. When it came time to pray, I started praying and saying those things I had thought about before, but I started stumbling with my words, and I ended it short.
After that the Lord showed me how I should have trusted in Him, and not my own ways to pray, He showed me this scripture, and I have found it to be applicable to so much in our lives including prayer.
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
The Lord showed me that He didn't want me to premeditate before what I will say in prayer, but to trust in Him, and to let Him speak through me. The next time I was asked to pray, I obeyed the Lord, and just prayed to Him, and the Lord touched the heart of each one of my family members, I don't know if there was a dry eye. When I try to do things myself I will just mess up, but it is the Lord in us that touches people, it is Him that makes the difference in our lives and the lives of others. It is okay if you are nervous, and if you have some fear about it, just trust in the Lord for the words to say, and keep your focus on Him, don't worry about pleasing anyone else but Him.
The Apostle Paul was used of God mightily but we can see that he was in fear and trembling when he preached Jesus. We are weak, and in our flesh we may have fear and trembling but God is All Mighty, and His grace and power will be upon us, when we are doing what He wants us to. It is His strength we trust in, not our own.
1CORINTHIANS 2 :1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
I have prayed for you, just trust in Jesus for the words and keep your eyes on Him, don't worry about what others may think, just keep your focus on Him.
God bless you
with all sincerity in Christ my Lord,

It doesn't matter how you sound or whether you trip over your tongue or any other goofy things that can happen. Pray from your heart. If you feel really nervous before praying, ask the Holy Spirit to give you peace and direction. There might be a specific need He wants you to address. If you just don't feel like anything's on your heart to pray, ask God to bless your youth pastor and to equip him and his family (if he's married) with whatever they need so they can do God's will. Ask for blessings upon each member of the youth group (you don't have to say all their names) and that God will continue to work in their hearts and draw them closer to Him. It's not a magic formula, but it's nice to start and end prayer by thanking God for who He is and what He does. When praying out loud you don't have to have long, flowery prayers, but as a prayer warrior when you get in your "prayer closet" long prayers are necessary. Do you fast and pray? Sometimes fasting is the key to breakthroughs. Praying aloud is a privilege and a blessing because it's a way God can use you to bless others. Who knows? Maybe what you pray is what someone needs to hear and it helps that person release problems to God. Don't sweat it. Trust God to use you. God bless. :o)

Trust God and allow Him to pray through You.
11 And when they take you before the Synagogues and the authorities and the rulers, take no thought about what answers you will give, or what you will say: 12 For the Holy Spirit will make clear to you in that very hour what to say.
Luke 12:11-12
Pray with the Holy Spirit's help
Jude 1:20
26 At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don't know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words. 27 The one who searches our hearts knows what the Spirit has in mind. The Spirit intercedes for God's people the way God wants him to.

Praying as you already know is simply having a conversation with God. You say you are nervous, ask God to give you the courage and strength you need to proceed. He will place the words upon your heart that you need to speak. He will give you the words to touch someones heart. You have to try and overcome the nervousness you are feeling. However trust and believe and you will do better than fine.
I had a similar experience many years ago. My Pastor asked me to get up front and center of the entire congregation. I was petrified; however I whispered a prayer my knees were shaking. I got up there and did not miss a beat. Now, you can not stop me from talking about and too God whenever called upon.
Public speaking is the most nerve racking experience I think for most of us. I will whisper a prayer for you. Have faith! You can do it! God will give you everything you need to accomplish this task all you have to do is ask.

omg I am just like you !!
I love God and I always pray, but to myself.
I can't pray outloud though :SS
Idk why, but I get all nervous and weird and I forget what I want to say or something. I think you should just think about how much you really love God and how bad you want to prove to him and others you do. Praying outloud shouldn't be embarrassing or anything but it is for some of us cause we want to deliver a great prayer, just pray to God he will give you the strength to say your prayer outloud!
God Bless

Well, when ever my friends and i have a bible study, we always have open prayer. And its all cool because i'm with my friends and no one but them and God are listening. But a couple weeks ago i went to a Christian Youth Conference and i felt as if God where nudging me to share my prayer request in front of 300 people!! i was SO terrified!! I looked up to the stars and just prayed. I was like 'God please help me to not make a fool of myself!!' And stood up and prayed in front of everyone. It. was. the coolest experience. Leading people in prayer... you get the AWSOMEST feeling after. I'd just pray about it. Pray and let God guide your words.

Trust that the Holy spirit will be with your mouth. Just like Moses when He was talking to the Lord in the burning bush. Moses said he was not good at speaking but God said I will be with your mouth. The Holy Spirit intervenes for us so don't worry just open up your mouth and let God speak. Try not to think to much about it so that it is the Holy spirit and not just your own words. Keep praying sister. God bless you and I hope this helps you.

Whoa, Have you ever heard of "Be still and know that I am God. Ps. 46:10. Jesus will return when it is time. There is nothing man can do to speed it up. There is work to be done, like getting the gospel out to the world and that is happening.Sorry to disagree with you, read the book of Revelation when Jesus returns, not the rapture, but to judge the world this world will be changed. As awful as it is to hear about child abuse and all the other terrible things in this world we must understand that this is the fallen condition we live in. It is our responsibility to help those in pain, not blame God. Save your breathe and stop yelling at God for the rotten world we live in, go help someone less fortunate and ask God to help you.

"The prayer of faith, like some plant rooted in a fruitful soil, draws its virtue from a disposition which has been brought into conformity with the mind of Christ.
1. It is subject to the Divine will-"This is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us" (1 John 5:14).
2. It is restrained within the interest of Christ-"Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13).
3. It is instructed in the truth-"If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7).
4. It is energized by the Spirit-"Able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Eph. 3:20).
5. It is interwoven with love and mercy-"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses" (Mark 11:25).
6. It is accompanied with obedience-"Whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight" (1 John 3:22).
7. It is so earnest that it will not accept denial-"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Luke 11:9).
8. It goes out to look for, and to hasten its answer "The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working" (James 5:16, RV).34"

There's stories of men and women spending three hours in prayer each morning. Quantity does not mean quantity, but we shouldn't just tell God a laundry list of things we want Him to do. Jesus constantly spent entire nights in prayer and would often sneak away to go pray. He loved being in the presence of His Father, and that's what prayer is. Don't be nervous, and don't try to impress people with fancy speech or big words when you pray. Just pray from the heart. Ultimately that's what God wants from us. Seek to please God, not man.

I'd pray..." Heavenly Father, thanks for letting us gather to do your will. Please bless this meeting. I pray that all will receive what you have for us. I pray you keep us safe tonight and through the week. In the Name of Jesus". You can change this, if you were going door to door, then pray that people would be open to you. Just pray about what you are going to do. †Prayer Warrior At Your Request†

The Bible says that if you ask for Him to help you to speak (or even pray) in front of others & that if you will trust Him, He will give you the words that He wants you to speak.
Or ask Him to speak to you ahead of time to let you know what you should pray. Write it down, review it, & ask Him to help you to remember the main points.
Ask Him to remove the fear & to give you peace. Am praying for you. He will bless you real BIG! Don't be at all surprised!!! :o)
