Why do Obama and Biden contribute such small amounts to charity?

They are not alone. A study was conducted by Syracuse University that found people who identify themselves as "liberal" are far less generous when giving to charity and are generally less happy when compared to those who identify themselves as "conservative."

Money is great - it makes the world go round - but charity can mean much more than dollars & cents. We know that BO spent ALOT of TIME with the impoverished, he didnt simply write a check & show up at the fundraisers.

Ask any child what matters more - time with loving parents or absentee folks & money. Some of the most charitable people on this earth arent always known for throwing money around. They read to the blind, help autistic kids learn, walk with seniors at the mall, find jobs for welfare moms etc etc.

Sure plenty of Repubs have foundations & tax write offs in the name of charity - but I betcha their "beneficiaries" wouldnt know them if they saw them...meaning their hands are rarely getting dirty with the day to day activities. Charity can be used as a verb as well as a noun - NEVER forget that!!!

Their actions speak louder and clearer that their words. Hard to image because Obama is quite the public speaker, but thats all he has going for him.

A liberal government is charity, because it uses the taxpayers money to fund charitable programs.
