The Strangers. Nothing new...but in the way that it's all presented and the timing...makes it creeeepy! I'm a horror fan. I'm usually pretty good at maintaining. But this one had me snuggled up with my blankie. :(

The Orphanage is a great scary movie that just doesn't get enough attention. Fair warning: it IS in Spanish with English subtitles--but it's very much worth it (my wife hates reading her movies, but she loved this one). Very creepy without going for the "easy" stuff.

Others:

Frailty--Awesome gothic horror. Must watch. Mid-90's but recent enough.

Cube--twisted sci-fi horror movie. Nice. Mid-90's as well.

28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later-- The sequel was way better than i thought it would be. Very tense.

Army of Darkness--if you need a funny scary movie. 90's again, but so what? It's great.

Go out and find, the 1980 made The Changeling! It's an awesome ghost story. I know you wanted new, but this one is awesome. Another new one is The Orphanage!

Wreck (the original version of Quarrantine) - its in Spanish - freaky! Poltergeist is always a classic scary movie!

Any of the Saw movies, as long as you're not squeamish!

Just stay away from The Strangers. That was just silly.
