Kyle Busch post-race comments?
Did anyone else hear Kyle Busch say that he is donating $100,000 for Sam Ard?I thought that was really great of Kyle to mention him in his interview, give credit where credit is due, acknowledge Sam's condition, and make such a generous donation.I now have a ton of respect for shrub.

as vp tom g pointed out, he's been doing things like this for a long time--he just doesn't normally go around tooting his own horn about it. but it was a special day tying the record and all, so i can forgive him for giving it a little toot, so to speak. plus, i think it brought to light the plight of the past record holder, who many have either never heard of or have forgotten about until his record came up again this year...
and if you remember correctly, after his first cup win he not only donated his portion of the winnings to katrina relief efforts, but cornered rick hendrick while still on live tv and asked him point blank if they could donate them all. whether rick wanted to or not, he had to then...

Kyle is an arrogant jerk, just like Kurt was when he was younger. And I want to know why everybody thinks that he's so great. I mean, he's got six Cup wins, but so what? Carl Edwards has ten, and has been raced one fewer season than Kyle. Kasey Kahne has seven wins, but nobody is comparing him to Dale Earnhardt. Darrell Waltrip needs to pull his head out of his behind and shut up about how great Kyle Busch is, and Kyle needs to be taught some respect for the other drivers on the track. Maybe he'll mess with Jeff Gordon one day and Gordon will teach him a lesson, a la Matt Kenseth at Chicagoland in 2006.

I'm not a Kyle Busch fan, but he has my respect for being a talented driver. Kudos to him for joining many other drivers in NASCAR for trying to help Sam out in his time of need. I was reading that Kevin Harvick donated a van to Sam as well. It's great to see the current superstars remembering and helping out the superstars of the past.

Didn't catch the race, but it's great that Kyle won! I'm not surprised by Kyle's donations, he's always been the giving kind.

Yeah, that's great of him. There are a lot of fans that think he is a jerk, but he's really a nice guy, especially off the track. This video proves it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGOFzm-g75k And congrats to Kyle on his win today! He's getting better and better every race!

That boy donates a lot of his winnings all over the place. he puts his money where his heart is. Sad that only his fans will acknowledge it.

I missed the race. Good for him donating money to someone in need.
It's not an uncommon practice for him, he actually does it quite frequently.
And yet still, so many people claim he deserves bad "karma"
Sad.

He is a great person and driver, unlike Dale Jr. People seem to have it backwards as to who the good guys and bad guys are in this sport
