97% percent of African Americans say they vote for Obama, a bit racist?

according to a real clear politics poll (average of a bunch of other polling places) 97% of blacks plan to vote for obama, this is simple ridiculous. i live in philly and ive talked to some folks about it, and its true that the only reason these people were voting for obama was because of his race. im not saying all blacks are voting this way, as a minority they tened to vote dem already, but not by 97% it makes me sick to think that Pa will almost def go to obama due to the black vote. its the future of our country and many people veiw it as black or white. not to mention those who think of it as bush or not bush, but thats another story...

Oh, but you see, in the land of the free it's OK to be a black racist. If you didn't know that, you must be a racist.

What do you call the fact that we have 43 Presidents, and up until now, all white. Racism, perhaps? Personally, I am glad to see anything but a rich, white, old male running the country. Personally, I am a middle aged white female and I am excited about an election for the first time in all the years I have been voting. I think it just brings a new take on the problems we are facing-and if ever there was a time when we needed new ideas, it is now! Go Obama!

A very large percentage of blacks are Democratic, which means they would be voting for whoever the Democratic candidate is. As for blacks voting for Obama JUST because he's black, I wouldn't call that racist as much as "racial." In the same way, I don't think we can categorically say that if a white person decides not to vote for Obama just because he's black, that that is racist. Overall I think we use the term racist too much and I think we should slack up on it.

You claim to be a Christian and feel you were saved by the lord yet I see racism in your statement. If not, at the VERY least an amount of judgement that is very unGodly. There are both whites and blacks alike in unprecedented numbers that are voting for Obama because he is the change we see as needed. You immediately feel it is racism when in fact, Bush created much of what you are seeing.

Are you surprised? Of course many blacks are voting for him just because they're black and I would also say many of them are doing it for the wrong reasons. However I also think many believe he will look out for their interests more so than Mccain would, which I'd probably agree. For the Majority of the Black population Obama probably would represent them more so than Mccain. So I'd say you're right and wrong and I definately feel you on that. I wonder the motives and I definately know that 97% +- 7% are not voting for Obama based on the issues. I think whats worse is the fact that the Media hasn't mentioned anything about it or the countless other stories they should report.

Whats the difference between African Americans voting for Obama, and white people voting for John McCain just for the simple fact that he's white and Obama is not?

not really, in 2004 88% of black voters voted for John Kerry and the democratic ticket. In fact black's are usually the democrats strongest voting block. 9% raise isn't that much when you consider all the people voting for McCain because Obama is black

ninety 5% of black voters voted for Obama. and that i can't remember the final time I heard that stat suggested on Fox information. And my boyfriend retains the television tuned to Fox quite much each and every of the time. you haven't any longer provided a source on your declare that ninety seven% of Fox visitors are white yet shall we purely pass with that stat hypothetically. If 80% of the inhabitants is white and ninety seven% of Fox visitors are white, which potential 17 factors greater. yet basically 12% of the generaly inhabitants is black and ninety 5% voted for Obama, then which potential 80 3 factors greater. additionally, human beings normally watch the information that confirms there preconcieved notions. So people who nonetheless wholeheartedly supply Obama a stable job approval score are actually not likely to be looking at Fox. Blacks nonetheless supply Obama a pair of ninety% approval score so as which potential basically approximately 10% of blacks could be probably to observe Fox information. So the cost of whites looking at Fox could be greater no longer through fact whites flock to Fox yet that blacks flee from Fox. Your reasoning here is illogical and positively serves as an instance the different factor you declare to be attempting to make.

So if most blacks vote dem anyway my question is why? They say that their lives haven't changed and they are being held down,so what is it that the dems do for them? If something is not working for them why keep doing it?

92% may have voted for Clinton but many more blacks are voting this year and they are voting for Obama. It shouldn't be a race vote, but it is
