A very large percentage of blacks are Democratic, which means they would be voting for whoever the Democratic candidate is. As for blacks voting for Obama JUST because he's black, I wouldn't call that racist as much as "racial." In the same way, I don't think we can categorically say that if a white person decides not to vote for Obama just because he's black, that that is racist. Overall I think we use the term racist too much and I think we should slack up on it.

Are you surprised? Of course many blacks are voting for him just because they're black and I would also say many of them are doing it for the wrong reasons. However I also think many believe he will look out for their interests more so than Mccain would, which I'd probably agree. For the Majority of the Black population Obama probably would represent them more so than Mccain. So I'd say you're right and wrong and I definately feel you on that. I wonder the motives and I definately know that 97% +- 7% are not voting for Obama based on the issues.
