How awesome would it be if Death Note ended one episode earlier?

I just want to know your thoughts. I personally like having the conclusion left to my own imagination. That is, it would end with Light saying "Well Near, looks like I win" in the English dub.

    Well, I am Yagami Light's fan. So I also wish that Light won't get killed in the anime. And yes, it would be better if the death note ended one episode earlier.

    or alternatively, the author can have Misa, avenged for Yagami Light by killing Near. After that,she kill herself in order to die together with Light.

    As in my opinion, the ending in manga is way better than anime.

    Manga > Anime > Movie (Real Action)

    Not awesome. The ending it has is definite and to the point. And I do agree with カイト that the manga is much better.

    You should read the manga, I think it's ending was 10398u420943857q2089572-0285092385230i45x better.

    Interesting, but then, the series would not have REALLY ended
