Theoretically, could this happen? ELECTIONS TOMORROW!?
Historically, when electors in the electoral college vote, there are votes for both president and vice president. Theoretically, could there be an instance where Obama and Palin win or where McCain and Biden win?

Yes & No. If it was a dead tie 269 - 269, and the House was controlled by the Dems, and the Senate was controlled by the Reps. Then your scenario could happen.

no, they made a law wayyy back when john adams (i believe) was vp. afterwards there was mixed parties in VP and president, so obviously they disagreed on alot of things which led to chaos. so they created a new that that made it so that there would only be 2 people of the same party. so it could be John mccain and Mit romney, because they are both republicans. or Barrack Obama and hillary clinton
MCCAIN PALIN-08

WoW! Fire all teachers today! The electoral college votes on the position of president and vice president separately. They also have no legal obligation to popular vote. Teach civics not propaganda.!!

Not with our system. You don't get to vote for a president and a vice president on the ballot separately. You vote for the President and their vice president is part of that vote.

I don't think so, because Barock Obama has nothing to do with Sarah Palin, and John McCain has nothing to do with Joe Biden.

that is the way many voters tellme it is. They think opbama will be assdignated or mCcain will not be able to serve a full term. That is the way I voted. Remember how biden spoke out against obama now he has a grin on his face.

could happen, but unlikely. nobody wants a conflicting president and vice president in office.
