Have you voted today or earlier, and have there been long lines? ?

Since this appears to be voter record turnout, i just wanted to say thanks America for finally taking your civic right seriously. Voter apathy is a bad thing and I am so proud of everyone for getting out and finally really ROCK the VOTE!!!

Update:

Well, we all know the outcome. We indeed rocked the vote. A record appears to have been broken. 133 million people voted! That is over one third of the population, over 100 mill are kids who cannot vote and others may not be legal or to disabled to vote. You did good America!

Yes, I voted this morning. My job rocks. They let us leave work to vote if we wanted to do so.

I totally agree with you. Who ever wins this election - ROCK THE VOTE!

I was standing in line at 6:30 this morning. I was 5th in line. By the time the polls opened, there were probably 100 people waiting. There will be a long wait for those that still haven't voted.

I voted around noon time. There were no lines.

I live in MA, and we don't have early voting, so I was surprised that it went really quickly. My whole town only goes to one voting location. It took me longer to find a place to park then it did to go in and out. I saw the lines on tv before I left, and I thought, Oh geeze, I'll be there for hours, so I was pleasently surprised. I think that tonight, when people get out of work, it will be a whole different story.

Yes. My polling place in Western New York was very busy, but also very well organized.

It had several voting booths, a voting machine for the disabled and sufficient staff to keep things smoothly moving.

With you on getting the vote out is great to see.

    Go Obama!!!

I voted this morning. The lines were long and I got there 20 minutes before the polls opened. I will be glad when someone is elected and we can move on.
