What can we do for the babies now that Obama wants to eliminate all restrictions on abortion?

For those who answer by saying a baby can not be born until it is developed in it's mother's womb is as ignorant to the fact that a full term baby can not survive if after being born, to just lay it down somewhere and watch it grow.

Ok if the pregnancy puts the mothers life in danger let it happen but if the mother willingly had sex and just doesnt want a child I think thats its wrong. If you didnt want a child you shouldnt have had sex. If the baby is born into a bad situation so be it, its better than not being alive at all wouldn't you agree? If you were given the choice at the beginning of your life to live or die what would you choose? I personally would choose to live. Nobody has any idea what an aborted child may one day become. Another thing that bothers me is that even if I dont agree with abortion my tax dollars will still be funding them. Plus the woman getting the abortion doesnt need spousal or parental consent (if a minor). All in all I disagree with abortion unless it affects the mothers health or is the product of rape.

So Aaron do you believe that a child should be killed if they might be mentally retarded? Everyone deserves a chance to live no matter what the situation. You have no idea what the child may one day become. Its kind of like the saying "Its better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all" And if the mother decides to leave the child in an alley thats her crime and it will rest on her conscious. We should not condone this behavior though. Its like saying that we should kill people in hospitals instead of letting them kill themselves. Whatever though its your soul.

Well first of all in many situations abortion IS the right choice.let me ask you something, if a 15 year old or a drug abuser gets pregnant, what would you have them do.After you are done verbally abusing them what would you like them to do if they don't have the abortion choice, would you honestly expect a them to take care of a child. And when the mother is that young and underdeveloped or has a body that it messed up from drugs, the baby has more of a chance of some sort of birth problem or mental retardation. Meaning that the kid ends up in a group home, (which my mother works at one) and it is sad to see how these children are just left to the world on there own by some of there parents who were not fit to take care of them. OR would you rather them get rid of the baby in a hospital instead of in an alley. Think about it.

Ohh and to the person who said that living in a rundown house hold is better than not living. Why don't you look before you speak. How many kids out there have lived lives where they would rather not have been born. You must have a sheet over your eyes because there are many households that the child is in such a situation that might just be worse.

and to Sad Panda i completely agree, because i have talked to the people who do take care of these children and they have the same opinion as you. Look just how many years ago at Willowbrook. Where people when in and came out 100 times worse. some of them went with things like a twitch that made them look retarted and came out with total mental retardation from the basic torture that they underwent.

While I don't promote or condone abortion as a means of birth control by any means, I don't feel it is my place to make such a choice for any other woman.

When you say it like that "This is a guy that thinks it's ok to kill a kid that is halfway born" - well then, yes, it does sound horrific. But abortion is not "killing a kid that is halfway born". You make it sound as if Obama is standing there in the delivery room waiting to strangle a child in the middle of the birthing process. Please.

Approximately 1/3 of America's homeless are families with children. There's something like over 1 million homeless children in our country. Why do you not have the same passion to fight for them and help them have the life they deserve? Or would you rather just see that number rise?

Why not put your anti-abortion passion into ensuring proper sex education for teens, and easy and affordable access to birth control for young women, and anything else that would help lessen the number of abortions that would take place.

Making abortion completely illegal will only send those who are desparate enough underground - most likely to unlicensed people and unsanitary conditions.

People, we really need to put things in perspective here and work together for our common goals.

Just so you know, he only advocates the partial birth abortions if there is something wrong with the mother or baby, he doesn't want to go killing babies left right and center just because he feels like it.

And, may I ask, why do you care so much about these particular "babies" (clumps of cells), when I bet you don't care half as much about the children already alive, who are struggling. Eg; the children dying and losing their parents/limbs when your country bombs Iraq.

Well how about this... for every "halfway born" baby that dies at the hands of the oh so evil Obama you can adopt, love and care for a FULLY BORN child that WASN'T aborted, but still has nothing better than sh*tty foster care.

Do you know how many women (and teenagers) listen to folks like you, go through pregnancy, give birth and put their child in the hands of the government in hopes that someone can give them the care they couldn't? I agree. Look at partial term abortion (done 5 months or later). They pull a live baby feet first out of the womb, except for the head, and puncture the skull to suction out the brain. How incredibly inhumane and unfair. That's something Hitler would've done.

Well, better sex education could be taught and the dangers and risks of it. Easier access to condoms could also help. Trying to dodge around the issue is not gonna stop horny teenagers from going wild either way. Just because someone like me is pro-choice doesn't mean their pro-abortion.

You refer to partial-birth abortion, which Obama is only okay with in cases where continuing with the pregnancy will endanger the mother's life. I don't see how you can honestly say that that is worse than, for example, terrorism.

It may interest you to know that the rate of abortions go down when things are better financially. So, if you truly want to save lives, do what you can to help others.
