Should I call him (recruiter)?
I finally got ahold of the phone number for my local AF recruiter. Do I call him? I really just want to go. I can leave as early as january. I just need to lose some weight, and finish this semester of college.
What should I do? I didn't feel this way when I was considering the Coast Guard. But I know if I wait I'll end up changing my mind.

just go see the recruiter. No harm in talking to someone about joining the military. Might as well get the ball rolling so you can be ready to go when college is done.

You should wait and think about it. This is a serious commitment! Don't jump into anything. Look at all of your options. Weigh the pros and cons. The military pays thousands and thousands of dollars to train you, feed you, house you, clothe you...the last thing you want to do is get out and make someone lose the seat you took and gave up. Think about this long and hard

Take everything a recruiter tells you in moderation. Recruiters are salespeople. I have friends in the military, and retired from military and they all love/d it and would do it again, but they do admit the recruiters don't tell you everything.
I personally would talk to real people your age who are in.
