Would you draw parallels to Bush haters in 04 and McCain supporters in 08?

I'm just thinking that the level of depression and total cynicism has got to be somewhat similar. I was praying for Bush to lose in 04 and when he didn't I was a raving lunatic for a few days. I couldn't understand how people could be so stupid.

Then I lived for the next 4 years not liking the guy, but not calling for his death.

Do you think Anti-Obama anger after this election is similar to Anti-Bush anger after the 04 election? Do you think it will die down soon? Why or why not?

    No.

First of all, Bush was not elected in 2000. He literally stole the election. In 2004, he won but at that point the world had seen what kind of a president he was. The behavior of the Obama haters is only based on prejudices. I think these people should give him at least a chance.

I'm thinking that the majority of people who voted for McCain will need a few days for his loss to sink in, accept it and then move onto the future.

Then there are those who never let go of anything. They will whine and complain and continue to call Obama names and will never, ever adopt a 'wait and see maybe he can't be all bad' attitude.

And some of them will work themselves into a fever pitch of rage and who knows what they'll do. They are the nuts who live amongst us & from which we should all be saved. Glory be and hallelujah!

If people voted for Mccain because they did not want a African American president, then yes it would last for a long time. But, if they voted for Mccain because they did not like Obama plans, then I believe it will die down.
