How does global warming affect us?
my understanding of global warming, is that it is supposed to make the climate gradually become warmer.
but i was kind of wondering if it just makes the weather all weird, because i live in FL and this year it has been cooler a lot earlier this year, and we were down to like 40 degrees which never happens.
so my question is, does global warming mess up the usual climate or is it just supposed to make it warmer?

The atmosphere warming part of global warming is less of a threat to us. It's the warming of the oceans (which is a result of a warming atmosphere) that threatens us. Warmer temperatures in the oceans means melting of glaciers (which means higher sea level rise, flooding, all that fun stuff) and stronger hurricanes because they feed off of warm water. If the atmosphere warming is going to cause serious problems, it will be much later than the ocean warming problems.
To answer the post above, global warming doesn't mean it will consistantly get warmer and warmer. If that is what happened we'd all be doomed really soon. It's not really a strong argument saying "oh 2006 wasn't as bad as 2005" (which is an argument many skeptics make). Fortunately the process of global warming is complicated, and it is only a general trend of warming, and not continuously warming each and every year. No credible scientist ever said it would be like that, these are assumptions made by skeptics. As far as hurricanes go, there aren't neccissarily suppose to be more. Hurricanes are created by a complicated combination of the Correolis effect, low pressure, and jet streams. These things have little to nothing to do with heat (that's not to say global warming can not cause more). BUT when a hurricane is generated, then having warmer waters to feed off of, they can become much more severe. And that's what we have been experiencing latley, record breaking hurricane strength.

There is no global warming. If you live in Florida then you should recall that the so called experts said the 2004 Hurricane season was sign of global warming. If it was, then why had hurricane activity decreased every year since then?
The mean global temperatures have been falling since they peaked out in the late 90's. The Global Warming fear mongers are now calling their campaign "Climate Change", that way they are covered no matter what happens.
About the cool weather. Here is a mathematical formula that will explain any unusual observation: 50% of the time temperatures will be cooler than average. 50% of time the temps will be above average.

Global warming will raise the temperature of the earth. Skin cancer will pose a greater threat. Less snow days. Species will go extinct. The ecosystem will become unballanced. It's going to get super hot. The polar icecaps will melt causing the ocean to rise and flood all the major coastal cities.

How about this. Global Warming is what killed the dinosaurs off. The climatic changes prevented the gases from dissipating in the atmosphere. They suffocated and died off.

due to green hose effect our atmosphere is getting warmer and due to this the ice is melting in the polar regions, thus the water level of seas is increasing day by day. so, lower parts of the earth is in danger.

By encouraging anti development, anti capitalists, pro communists, anti americans, left wings, democrates to try and promote global poverty as an answer to this.........problem(which isn't real in my opinion)
