WHAT ARE THE CHANGES COMING TO AFRICA -- DURING AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY ?

COULD WE perhaps have a muted and less racist approach to this as non-racialism is better than any racism at all --

I try not to be bigoted, Obama seems to be a nice enough guy, but he didnt even help out his own brother, so I really dont see him making any big changes.

If he decides to continue Bush's Africa doctrine, Africa will be a much better place 4 years from now, and I have a good deal of faith that he will at least continue what is being done now.

As of lately, Marines and special forces have been deployed to several African nations and have made great strides forward. We have civilized several african militaries by giving them the discipline that they need to operate as real nations.

The UN has proved a huge failure in Africa. I think a pan African peace keeping force would be a better plan. This would have a better access to folks who speak the languages (which has been a huge UN failing) and would be more willing to restore order.

As a long term thing Africa needs a stabler system of laws. No long term investment is going to be attracted to a country that is in turmoil nor will long term infrastructure be built.

There are two goals for the African countries. One is to halt the genocide that has been going on for years now. The second is the battle against AIDS. To President Bush's credit, he has done a great deal for Africa, where AIDS is concerned. I expect Obama to continue this effort. As far as halting the terrible violence, he may insist that that the UN put more emphasis on halting this. There is dreadful suffering in those countries.

North & South region in Africa don't need help,

i think they managed to get through these problems like AIDS

    and wars too.

they definitely have financial problems but who don't have these problems. ^.^

Anyway, i think the middle region in Africa need most of help and 1 of the problems they have is starvation.

I hope obama makes wise decisions ... itsu. (\m/)

I pray there will be positive changes there. They are one of the most neglected and oppressed continents in the world. They need help. Perhaps we will be able to help them during this administration.

Racism is ignorance. It will still exist in our society. However, we will see less of it because the majority of young white Americans have rejected this sort of ignorance in our society. They have voted overwhelmingly for Obama.
