When you voted for Obama, what experience does he have in what area that appealed to you?

Please do not say you voted for him simply because of his skin color or you voted for a "mascot". Tell us the extensive experience or policy you believe he has or will up hold...

(Of course we will see what he does when he gets into office...)

He didnt do a thing to impress me. And if you think his lack of experience and his anti USA stance is appalling then take a look at the people that he is appointing to his cabinet.

He is smart, pragmatic, even keeled, eager to learn and is a brilliant person!

Attended Occidental College - Two years.

Columbia University - B.A. Political science with a specialization in international relations.

Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna cu_m Laude; President, Harvard Law Review

Barack Obama has a total of 12 years experience in government, both state and federal.

Bush had 6, Reagan had 8. Carter had 10 in Georgia, Nixon and Kennedy had 12!

Obama spent 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, became the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, created a voter registration drive that registered 150,000 new voters, spent 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, becoming chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spent 4 years in the United States Senate represented a state of 13 million people while sponsoring/cosponsering 131 bills and served on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, and I guess he doesn't have any real leadership experience.

Believes in family, has been married 16 years, 2 children and has never cheated on his wife.

He doesn't have a substance abuse issue like our current president does!

I also considered his wife, Michelle, who majored in sociology and had a minor in African American studies at Princeton University, where she graduated cu_m laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985

At Princeton, she challenged the teaching methodology for French because she felt that it should be more conversational. As part of her requirements for graduation, she wrote a thesis entitled, "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community."

She obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School in 1988. While at Harvard, she participated in political demonstrations advocating the hiring of professors who are members of minorities.

Now compare that with Palin and a man who graduated 6th from the bottom of his class because he, like Bush, was too busy partying (his description)!

Look, experience is only helpful if it leads you to make the right decisions. There is no doubt that McCain has been in government much longer than Obama (he's also about 30 years older). However, that didn't prevent him from voting for the war in Iraq, choosing to try to use the financial problems in the US for his own political gain and even risking destroying delicate negotiations in a publicity stunt, and choosing a manifestly unqualified vice presidential candidate.

Obama has the judgment and the temperament to lead, he reacts to problems in a calm, thoughtful, and logical way, and has shown a willingness to compromise rather than trying to ram his ideas through using the narrowest possible margins of support. He's quite simply the right man for the job. All of McCain's experience couldn't make him a better candidate or a better leader than Obama.

If I had voted for him , it wouldve been the most traumatic experience of my life and I would feel guilty when he ruins America

So I voted for the lesser of two evils

I didn't vote for him simply because he lacked the experience necessary to tackle the forth coming depression.

  • Having a brain since birth. Unlike Bush.

Doesn't have to, all he has to do is choose the right people, kinda like the opposite of what Bush did.
