GM cuts 30% of its workforce here in America, yet opens a new plant in Russia? I just saw on CNN that they are cutting jobs here in America, and also read today that they are opening a new plant in Russia today. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601095&si...

Update:

Melissa S. I agree with you about calling the credit cards. I found a way around it though. If you look on your statement sometimes there will be a usa number, I found mine and I call that number instead of the one on the credit card. Now I talk to a Texan instead of someone I can't understand.

I really don't like seeing when U.S. jobs get outsourced to other countries, especially when our unemployment rate is so high!! It's like when you try to call customer service for a credit card ( or some other stuff) & you get a person that seems like they can barely speak english!! So frustrating.

They're American companies skipping out of town to resist paying taxes like all of the other companies. I say if they want to be an American company, no matter where they're based, they need to pay their taxes. End of story. Even if they leave, there'll be another company to take their place to pay taxes. Bush and Cheney started that with Halliburton leaving to Dubai.

What the government should also do is make companies pay minimum wage here in the states, regardless of what country they pay their employees in.
