1 ohm amp dual 2 ohm sub?
i have a MTX TA81001 1500rms at 1 ohm amp and a dual 2 ohm fi audio bl 18 inch sub is there any way to get 1500 rms out this amp looking at it.it say 1000 rms in 2 ohms so what can i do to get full 1500 out the amp and at the same time not screw up my sub

your subwoofer is dual 2 ohm
that means 2 voicecoils
which is like having 2 single voice coil 2 ohm woofers
which means you can wire it down to 1 ohm
all you have to do is hook both positives and both negatives up to the positive and negatice of the amp.
if you had a single voice coil woofer, then you would only be able to get 2 ohms.

The two are paired perfect.
Wire both voice coils in parallel to your MTX amp and you'll be wired 1 ohm.
