Xbox 360 Questions? *10 Points*?

Hey people. I'm considering buying an Xbox 360 since my PS2 recently quit working. I have a few questions though before I purchase one.

1) I've noticed that a Xbox 360 is alot more expensive than a Xbox 360 Arcade. I'm wondering what exactly is the difference between the two? Is there anything that doesn't come with the Arcade system that comes with the original?

2) How exactly does online play work and how much do you have to pay to get it?

3) On my Playstation 2 there was a memory card in which I saved my game data on. How do you go about saving data on a Xbox 360

Opinion Question: Which is better... Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?

    1. Arcade is basically just a downscaled version, it doesn't come with a hard drive and you have to buy one separately. 2. Well, you can either buy an ethernet cord and directly link your 360 to your computer for internet access, or you can buy a wireless USB device, but you need to have a router and wireless internet. If you buy the year long subsription goldcard, which has a code on the card, it costs around $50 a year, which in my opinion is worth it because of all the fun in online gaming. If you subscribe with a Silver membership, you can add friends and message and chat with them, but you cannot access the online features of whatever game your playing. 3. If you have the

Arcade edition, you need to buy a hard drive, or a memory unit ( I don't own a memory unit thing so I can't really describe it, but I think it's like a memory card. ) But if you get the standard Xbox 360, it comes with a 8 g hard drive. In my opinion, I like the Xbox 360 a bit better, because of better online play and it doesn't cost as much.

i think the ps3 and 360 are a tie but on to the info

there is no diference between the xbox 360 arcade ($200) and the xbox 360 pro ($300) just that the pro has a 60 gig hard drive and the arcade has a 256mb memory card (which holds a lot of game saves) u could still go online with the arcade despite a lot of dumasses saying it cant (trust me it can, i have an arcade)

online costs depends in what subscription you get (you could either buy a Xbox live card sold in game retailers or use your credit card to buy it when you go to the xbox marketplace) it is $8 a month, $20 three months, or $50 an year. the marketplace is where you get all the game demos, arcade games, and more.

with the 360 you could either save in memory card or in the hard drive.

but since you had a ps2 you also have a lot of ps2 games so i would but a ps3 but its whatever you want dude.If you were really happy with your ps2 you should buy a ps3

    1. The $299 Xbox 360 (Xbox 360 Pro Bundle) now comes with a 60GB hard drive, a wireless controller, ethernet cable, Xbox Live headset, and a chrome disc tray while the Arcade comes with no hard drive, a wired controller, and a white disc tray.

    2. You basically plug your 360 into a router through ethernet cable (or wireless adapter sold seperately for $100), and run a connection test. If you successfully pass it, you can create an XBL account for free (Silver membership) to download content. To play online with games, you need to buy a Gold membership, which varies from monthly, quarterly, or yearly increments (yearly being the cheapest at $50 a year as opposed to $8 a month).

    3. You can save the game data onto the very small internal memory storage, a 512MB memory unit for the controller, or the hard drive (included with Pro bundle or bought separately).

Opinion: The 360 is better with online play, but the PS3 can do a lot more. In the end, they're both good and bad in their own ways, but when it comes to gaming, I'd chose the 360. Everything else, PS3.

The xbox 360 is better than the playstattion 3

-it costs $300 for the normal 360 and $100 over the pro. It has distinct advantages such as a hard drive, which is 60 gb, you can play xbox original games with it, and save memory onto the normal 360. The hard drive is important so you can also store demos and data

-online play is simple as they match you with people all around the world to play the game, or you can play with your friends that also have xbox live.

-if you buy the xbox 360, it will come with a attachable hard drive where you can save you data. You can EASILY detach the hard drive off the xbox and take it somewhere else if you really needed to and the xbox 360 does come with memeory cars as well.

the difference between the arcade and the more exspensive one, the one more exspensive comes with a hard which has a lot of memory and comes with a 1 month free trial gold membership, the arcade comes with a memory card which doesnt have a lot of memory and a silver membership, you can always buy a hard drive seperat from like 60$ to 100$, for online you have to get and x box live account, the 360 is a ot better than the ps3, i have both and i love the 360 a lot more
