How do I get a school kid from Peru as an exchange student in my home?

The local church extends ministry to kids in Peru. I think it would be a better use of the funds, if we mean to improve their lives and their community, to bring kids *here* and get them a decent education. After all, what is one more to most families?

I have no idea, and I mean *no* idea how to get the paperwork to allow this to happen... If you have good references or personal experinece of this sort of thing, I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!

Update:

The reason we have to go to these places year after year, generation after generation, to provide medical care and expertise in everything from sanitary wells to sanitary sewer is that the people there do not have enough education to do it for themselves. It seems good to me to give people better options than depending on charity forever.

Costs for transportation, schooling, etc $10,000. (the US tax payer doesn't pay for these students)

Term 1 year. Maximum time a student can attend high school in the US.

As you can see your church has the right idea. You can do a lot more for these kids in their country than you can in the US.

Yeah sure what is just one more none tax paying immigrant come and take the spot in school that should go to an American. You want just one new toy to play with and so does 45 million others. What a joke churches have become. Loads of compassion for foreigners................................None for your fellow Americans.
