Do you think that Barack Obama's election will encourage people with unusual names to run for President?

Think about it. Up to now, presidents always had nice, safe, "WASPy" names like Bill Clinton and George Bush. And who among us (come on, admit it, even us Obama supporters thought this!) didn't think that he had an oddly non-Presidential name. But he broke through that last barrier, the inborn prejudice against people with odd names.

When guys like Zbigniew Brzezinski and Casper Weinberger were young lads, the writing was already on the wall for them - no way they would ever be elected with those names. Picture those poor kids, possibly with tears in their little eyes, thinking about a career in government and knowing that no one would ever vote for them because their names were funny and darn near unpronounceable.

So who should follow Obama's lead? Maybe Rahm Emanuel? He already has a leg up, with Obama's sponsorship (no doubt in part because of his odd-name kinship).

Names, people, I wont names - ten points to the best suggestion of an oddly named (but real) person who should run for office!!

Yeah, that's exactly it. Now all those poor people who have locked themselves into their homes, because of their funny names, can finally emerge! They have something to live for: presidency of the United States of America!

No longer will Justin Case and Tyrone Boots be ashamed on the first day of school! No longer will Dick Cox and Jack Meoff hear the snickers of their peers.......why? Because they are now Presidents!

You really shouldn't call his name unusual. I'm sure Barack is a popular name in the Middle East & North Africa and calling it unusual could be seen as offensive.

This country just proved how stupid we really are. Osama Bin Laden could have ran and the a$$holes in this country would have voted for him!
