why is President Elect Obama not your president?

He is my president and I am a white republican.

I do not agree with all his policies but I agree in making a better America and it seems like what he wants to do, and if he was elected to do it by America.

The world seems to have so much faith in him to do so, I will put my faith in him too, and if or when he fails THEN I will have something to say..

I have gotten over McCain not winning, so what is with the OBAMA IS NOT MY PRESIDENT answers and display names?

Why isn't he your president?

He is my president too. I did not vote him in but I will support and pray for him while he is office. I am praying he can clean up the mess in Washington. He will have his hands full. My loyalty is always with my country and whoever the people put in office. Let's work together for the good of the country. The people have spoken and it is final. I really want Obama to do well because I love my country! This country will not stand if we continue to divide ourselves and not be willing to come together. I hope this helps. God bless America!

I Understand what you are saying, Obama is Not My President, Bush is until Jan. 20, Obama said that we can have only one President at a time.

Look, I am a Republican too, and I voted for McCain who was not my best Choice, I chose Huckabee during the Primaries, Be that as it may.

I am happy that African American Children can wake yp in the morning nad realize that they don't have to look forward to being only a rap star or a sports star they can be anything they want, This is a good message that can be said to Black gang members that think the only way they can have money or happiness is because that's the only thing they have to look forward to.

That being said, I am afraid that the price that will be paid for this man in the white House will be too high.

The DNC organized this all the way, 7 weeks before the elections the Stock Market Crashes ? Bull Crap, That is not a Coincidence !

I did my research, Democrats in Key Positions began withdrawing their 401 k's after they won the Mid term elections and began urging Company's like Freddy Mack and fanny may and Lehman Bros to approve of those High risk loans, to bring down those companies, McCain warned about that two years ago, but it fell on deaf ears.

people think Clinton was good because he fixed the Deficit, Bull he did so by Borrowing off of Your Social Security, Do your research man

Perhaps many are simply expressing "wishful thinking." However, Obama is "our President Elect" and that's the way it is.

For those Christians who are in the "Obama is not my President club," I wish to remind them what God's word says about submission to those in authority--without regard to who those people may be (God is still the highest authority):

"1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you." [Romans 13:1-3 NIV]

    ___

God is sovereign and we should place our trust and faith in Him. (See Proverbs 3:5-6 and Romans 8:28]

    ___

    Add-on:

I didn't vote for Bush and I didn't vote for McCain. I have been very disappointed by the current Bush administration BUT he has been the President of this country and I am a citizen and Bush and the US have my loyalty. I have supported our President's decisions even though I may not have agreed because he IS and has been our President. I have also spent these years praying to God that the Holy Spirit lead him in decisions as I will with Obama. By the way, I do not agree with all policies he (Obama) has been in favor of but I trust God.

I am very much in agreement with another member regarding McCain's speech on Tuesday night. Obama and McCain were not strangers out of nowhere to me prior to the presidential nominations and primaries because I DO keep up with what's going on in both the House and the Senate--most people who have cable access have that option. I believe McCain was sincere in that speech.

I pray that McCain's constituents/supporters can develop a like mind or at least develop some "tolerance" soon because this is where we are in the situation for the next four years--living together in the USA with one President that some support and some do not--just like it's ALWAYS been and for the duration will be.

i have no political affiliation, but i will remind people that democrats had bumper stickers and signs and stuff when G.Bush was president saying the same thing. I dont know how Obama's policies and plans will work out so i cant say i agree or disagree with him, but if democrats can say Bush wasn't their president republicans can do the same. now that a democrat is president, democrats will be taking the mature stance the way republicans did with the last president.

Presidents swear to support and defend The Constitution. Mr. Obama says it is a "flawed document" and the bill of rights is "a bill of negative rights" Mr. Obama supports and pushes agendas that are in direct conflict with many of our Constitutionally guaranteed rights and his pronouncements leave no doubt that it is his intention to undermine, suppress or revoke many of our rights. I wish people would read extensively before voting for such an important office instead of relying on stupid soundbites and a media promoting one candidate instead of reporting objectively.

Obama and his cohorts simply knew this was a time in history where idiots outnumber thoughtful people in this country and seized the moment to use our own system against us.

They all see themselves as the masters who will be privileged while fleecing, herding, and denying life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to the mass of sheep who put them in a position of power.

Unfortunately, the 57 million of us who aren't sheep now have to put a significant part of our lives in trying to undo the damage you have done.

I appreciate your question. I think it is pretty apparent by all the misspellings in all the "anti-Christ" answers to this question that the people who say he's not going to be their President are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. They are letting fear rule their lives and are throwing tantrums like five-year-olds. Maybe they will take his $4K college tax credit and educate themselves. I can dream, can't I?

Thanks for giving him a fair chance. I would have given McCain the same respect if he had won fairly. Can't we all just get along?

He will not even attempt to help this "falling" country, he wants control along with the rest in "the big mans chair" its all about control and money, yes I hope someone will do something to help or stop the bad "stuff" in this country. Honestly I believe that people voted for him on his first term because he said he would do all these great things? What did he do that helped us in any case? He brought illegal immigrants in our country, how is that gonna help us. And what was the war in Iraq for? A oil war because they wouldn't give us their oil so a whole war started. He even sold jobs to china, and china is starting to buy some of our american land!!! That just isn't right. And for the people on welfare, that don't need it, thanks for stealing my tax money. And people who voted for him for his second term, just why, you saw no change in Hus first election so why vote for him again? I think everyone knows there was some cheating in voting for Obama. Wake up, be ready for a civil war.

    While I didn't vote for him - I am a Christian conservative.

I do not agree with his policies either - but he is our nation's president elect.

I liked Mc Cain's speech - and agree it is important to unite the country in a positive way. It's just so darn scary when it seems there is so much we don't know

In the End He is the Commander in Chief, President of this free world, so Republicans can say that all they want, he is and will be their President for 4 years and hopefully get re-elected in 2012. So they can say that $hit till the cow's come home. He Will be Their president no matter what they say!!
