I understand what Obama means to America...?

The election of Obama sends a powerful message around the world on a number of accounts. McCain was perceived by many to be a war hawk who would stay in iraq forever and possibly start a war with iran. Obama being elected shows that this country wants to return to diplomacy. Also, the world is well acquainted with the US's racial history, and electing the black son of an immigrant stands as an example of how far we have come in 50 years.

Generally, it send the message that the US is changing directions. G.W. Bush was despised and feared around the world. Obama represents what people think is best about america.

Other countries are excited about his winning as are the American people. By doing the things Bush did, affected all of the west, including Europe. They again have hope, that Obama will be a world leader and just as Americans do. They feel they'll once again be able to look up to America, which they haven't done in 8 years.

American will have a President, for since the first time since Jimmy Carter, that can be used as the world's shower b*tch.

Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, and even Venezuela will use OBama as a door mat. Obama is in way over his head with these guys.

He is making a change the fact the he is the president is a good example. The best is yet to come.
