Captain America hints in Iron Man and Hulk?

They have had bits of Captain America in both these movies, the construction of the shield in Iron Man, and a frozen Captain America in the movie HULK? What I don't understand is if they are working on an Avengers movie, how can Captain America work with everyone else if he's already dead? Something doesn't go together correctly here. At the end of Hulk, Stark ( Robert Downey JR) says they are putting a team together which means Captain America will be involved, but how can that be if his body is frozen in ice? I just don't get it.

Uhm... I was wondering. Do you read the comics or not? Because in the comics, that's how the storyline goes.

The Avengers discovers Captain America's body in the North Atlantic, his costume under his soldier's uniform and still carrying his shield. After he revives, they piece together that Captain America had been preserved in a block of ice since 1945, surviving in such a state only because of his enhancements from Operation Rebirth.

Captain America accepted membership in the Avengers, and although long out of his time, his considerable combat experience makes him a valuable asset to the team. He quickly assumes leadership, and has typically returned to that position throughout the team's history.

You should read the comics though. You'll noticed about lots of things from the comics in the movie. There's also a hidden future character & villain in The Incredible Hulk movie. Doc Samson and The Leader would probably be in the next Hulk movie just so you know.

In August 2006, Marvel Entertainment's "Marvel Studios Overview Presentation" listed the Avengers as a property under development for a film. In a May 5, 2008, report to shareholders, Marvel Entertainment announced the release dates for two planned Avenger movies. The First Avenger: Captain America (working title) is scheduled for May 6, 2011, followed by The Avengers, scheduled for July 15, 2011. Marvel initially announced plans to have the team made up of Iron Man, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, and Ant-Man, though as of late Ant-Man has not been mentioned. The first film reference to the Avengers is in Iron Man (2008), in a post-credits scene of Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) speaking with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) about the "Avenger Initiative". At the conclusion of The Incredible Hulk (2008), Stark briefly speaks with General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) regarding the formation of a team.
