When was the last time you cleared out your internet cache?
go to your toolbar at the top of the page, hit TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS.
Look under BROWSING HISTORY, then hit the DELETE key.
It will show you the delete history bozes. You want to click ont he first one TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES. By clearing that out at the end of every day, it will help with the speed.
If you have not done it in a while (or have never done it) it will take some time to clean it up, but you will see that your PC runs faster

virtual memory is on your HD. When the computer runs out of actual memory it starts using your hard drive as temporary storage. If you are running Windows XP you should keep at least 10% of your hard drive free for Windows to operate in. Another solution is to actually get more memory. These days 1 gig is the minimum amount of memory you need. As for speeding up your computer it depends on the type of processor you have. Some can be safely overclocked providing its kept cool enough. Its usually just a software setting you change although some older processors require setting a jumper on the circuit board. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're absolutely sure of what you're doing because you can fry the CPU.

Well if u are running low on virtual memory then that means you are using to many programs at once. So cut down the usage of using too many programs or u can upgrade your ram to use more programs.
Please list Specs of your Computer. Might help more. U can always defrag using windows defragment, and do a little file cleaning if u have a lot of junk files. I suggest for junk files use Ccleaner for Download.com.
I hope this helped.

You are out of virtual memory for one of two reasons:
1) Your hard drive is almost full. Go to my computer and click on C: if there's less than 2GB of free space, that's your problem. Delete some stuff and reboot.
2) Your virtual memory is set unusually low. Set it to System Managed according to these directions. BE SURE TO HIT APPLY OR NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE!

If you want it to run faster in general, you can upgrade the memory. Check out crucial.com to find out what kind of RAM upgrade your computer would need and what it would cost. It's a good idea to have 2GB or so for most people, or a max of 4GB is you can afford it and your machine can handle it.
A hard drive upgrade would also help, but that's harder to do and you'd probably need to buy or recruit some help.

Download a program called CCleaner. It will clear out all your junk and will make your computer faster. Don't worry, it doesn't delete personal files, just cookies, temporary internet files, and all that other junk Microsoft uses to spy on you. I use it about once a month and my computer runs great.

You can bring your computer into any Staples store and they will Diagnose it for 59.99. Then you will find out what it needs and generally they will have what you need on hand. If you have a desktop computer, just bring in the tower and the power cord. They will also give you a free pc security check.
